To celebrate this momentous achievement, Street Meet has planned a month-long celebration throughout October 2025 featuring events, food/drink specials, and a host of social media posts & videos looking back over the past 20 years.

Join us all October as we Celebrate 20 Years as THE American Tavern

Street Meet will be celebrating 20 years as The American Tavern on Hilton Head Island this October. Started in 2005 as a way to showcase popular street foods from around the country, it has grown over the past 20 years to mean so much more to the citizens of the Island.

With the owners Carey Basciano, wife Shelby, and sister Nicole’s deep ties to Ohio, they have also found success in providing a home-away-from-home to the throngs of Ohio visitors who flock to Hilton Head every year to enjoy “The Ohio Bar.” Being the official “Cleveland Browns Backer Bar” has further cemented that position amongst locals and tourists during football season and beyond.

To celebrate this momentous achievement, Street Meet has planned a month-long celebration throughout October 2025 featuring events, food/drink specials, and a host of social media posts & videos (@streetmeethhi on Facebook and @streetmeet.americantavern on Instagram) looking back over the past 20 years. The marquee event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, with an invite-only Dom & Dogs Mixer for friends, family, and VIPs (a toast to 20 years with Dom Pérignon and a gourmet hot dog bar), followed by an open-to-the-public 20th Birthday Bash featuring complimentary finger foods, drink specials, and live music by Groove Town Assault.

HHI Chamber Ribbon Recutting and Birthday Pre-Party – Friday, October 10th, at 4 pm
Halloween Paparazzi Party – Saturday, October 25th, at 8PM featuring cash prizes for costumes, a red carpet photo-op, and a DJ set by Damien
